U14 Hurlers Win Ulster Feile Title

Congratulations to the Lavey U14 hurling team who won the Div. 5 Ulster Feile title yesterday afternoon!

Group games were played at the Lavey GAC grounds on Saturday morning. The young Lavey boys topped their group defeating Castleblayney (Monaghan), Tir na nOg Randalstown, Aodh Ruadh Ballyshannon (Donegal) and Naomh Colum Cille (Tyrone) to progress to the final.

The team then headed to the newly opened Owenbeg stadium where they faced Brid Og (Antrim) in the final. This game was a highly entertaining and close encounter. A goal from Paudie Duggan, another from Thomas Donnelly and an impressive 1-03 from sharp shooter, Kieran Henry, inspired Lavey to a two point victory.

Final Score Lavey 3-3 Brid Og 2-4.
