Special Visit from All Ireland Champions’ Loughgiel Shamrocks

Five of the Loughgiel Shamrocks’ All Ireland winning team attended the Lavey GAA underage training last Monday night.  Top scorer Liam Watson, goalkeeper D D Quinn, midfielder Tony McCloskey, full back Neil McGarry and corner forward Shay Casey brought with them the four trophies they won in 2012; the Tommy Moore Cup (All Ireland Club championship), the Four Seasons Cup (Ulster Club championship), the Volunteer Cup (Antrim Championship) and the North Antrim Feis Cup trophy.

The Loughgiel lads assisted the Lavey coaches to set up drills and exercises for the U10 hurling team and afterwards posed for photographs with groups and individuals.  The Lavey youngsters thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it turned out to be a great night for everybody involved – including the parents who also came along!
