LAVEY U-10 FOOTBALLERS WIN AGAIN

Our U-10 footballers finished their season on a high after winning the John Mc Vey memorial Newbridge tournament. This group of talented footballers have won three tournaments this year and remained unbeaten in all their go games blitzes!

Lavey defeated Cargin, Newbridge and Ballymena to top our group and qualify for the quarter final knockout stage. Lissan were our opponents and our boys showed great skill in score taking to run out comfortable winners and progress to the semi final against Magherafelt. Unfortunately a thunderstorm descended on Newbridge and the tournament was abandoned for the day. We returned the following week and beat Magherafelt by 3 points in a great game that was very close throughout. Dungiven were our opponents in the final and once again the Lavey lads played super football to win by 7 points. Captain for the day was Niall Duggan.
