Lavey GAA gets Mobile

As part of the overhaul of our website, we have crafted the design to provide an optimal viewing experience — easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling — across a wide range of devices (from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones and tablets). Among others, these include:

Based on the latest HTML5/CSS3 technology, the mobile friendly nature of our site means that you can keep up to date with the latest club news and social media networks of twitter and facebook, with information on club results and events available across an integrated and interactive platform.

Android/Google devices

The reasons for this approach are clear:

“With more and more people choosing to access online content using a mobile device, our site is well placed to cater for this growth into the future.” Edelle Henry (PRO, Lavey GAA)

There is no desktop version living separate from a mobile version meaning there is no loss of functionality as you scale the screen size. The site lives ‘under one roof’ so to speak in an approach recently favoured and used by the election team of US president Barack Obama (

Quite what he would make of remains to be seen, but to borrow some of the words of President Obama after his recent election:

‘And together, with your help and God’s grace, we will continue our journey forward and remind the world just why it is that we live in the greatest parish on earth.’
