Four Goal Glory for Senior Hurlers

Well done to our Senior Hurling team on their win over Carrickmore on Wednesday evening.

Both teams ambition to look for goals led to an exciting and open game for the spectator.

Two first half goals from Conor McMullan and Sam Dodds combined with two excellent saves from keeper Michael Taggart at the other end meant that Lavey lead 2-7 to 1-5 at half time. Conor McCrystal also looked composed from the placed ball scoring four first half points.

Carrickmore staged a comeback scoring a goal and three points without reply in the first 10 minutes of the second half to push them into the lead for the first time in the game. A further two goals however, from Brendan Laverty and Sam Dodds left the result beyond doubt. Final score Lavey 4-9 Carrickmore 2-11.

Lavey Scorers; Sam Dodds 2-1, Brendan Laverty 1-1, Conor McMullan 1-0, Conor McCrystal 0-4 (4 frees), Chrissy Henry 0-2, Gerard Taggart 0-1.
